Subaru EJ22 with 178000kms plus spare engine
stephenianjames - January 29th, 2006 at 09:50 AM

Hi guys,

Up for sale is a Subaru EJ22 from an early 90's Liberty, in excellent condition having done 178,000kms. It includes a wiring loom, ECU, all ancillaries attached to engine, crossmember, exhaust manifolds and heap of other bits that may or may not be useful.

There is a second engine having done higher kms, which apparently is a great runner but is missing some ancillaries like starter motor, alternator etc. It is a long engine though, with cylinder heads etc still bolted to block so it would be great for a spare engine or rebuild for a worked motor etc.

I bought all of the above for $1000 plus the costs of driving Melb to Wollongong and back, so I'd be happy to get my $1000 back (or very close to). I havent compression tested the engine but I'm happy for anyone to (if they are able).

Name: Steve
Price: $1000
Phone: 0408 137 017
Location: Hughesdale, VIC (near Chadstone Shopping Centre)

Cheers,

Steve

I know this may be a stupid question, but when you say

Is this stuff adapted for VW or still subie?

Hi mate,

It's all stock Suby, but will still be used in the Suby conversion.

Mate if it was in Sydney I think this would be gone. I think you might get more on ebay.

Can you freight it to me in QLD?

Rob

Hey Rob,

The engines probably could be freighted but I wouldn't know what the cost would be. The additional engine would add heaps to the cost of freight, so it may be better not to take the 2nd one to keep costs down.
