Is it for a 73 L Bug? Is it just surface rust on it? Is it yours and where is it located?

hellbugged - February 13th, 2006 at 07:10 PM

new old stock, so yeah just surface rust, under the impression that if its got the big hole for the tail light, then its gonna fit.

location...hanging on a wall in N.S.W

no its not mine, but will have a price for you tomorrow- left in a hurry today.

Awesome! If you could u2u me a price that would be awesome, I'm in Melb though.... so postage wouldn't want to cost an arm and a leg! The rear tail-light hole looks to be the same size as mine not the 'Elephant's Foot' size, but it might just be the photo.... if you could make sure it's off a 73 L Bug, peace of mind and all that. :D Cheers!

hellbugged - February 13th, 2006 at 07:18 PM

pretty sure its elephant foot. is it for the P.B.B?

when you asked for "L" bug, i assumed you would need the elephant foot.

Nope it's not for my PBB, it's for EgeWorks' car as some so-and-so hit his right rear guard and didn't leave a note. :duh

But yeah, lemme know more details tomorrow! Thanx so much! :D

hellbugged - February 13th, 2006 at 07:25 PM

so you do or don't need "the foot"?

jo_tas - February 13th, 2006 at 07:48 PM

Looking at the pic of her car in her sig... i'd say its the smaller, non-elephant foot type!

hellbugged - February 13th, 2006 at 07:59 PM

nah, its not for the p.b.b, for another bug.

Schmoburger - February 14th, 2006 at 12:06 AM

If it's a 73 model that it's needed for, I'd assume it has the elephoot lights... if it has stock guards that is.

PrettyBlueBug - February 14th, 2006 at 07:54 AM

It's for my bf EgeWorks' 1973 L Bug (elephant feet lights) as someone hit the rear right guard.
I told him I'd get another guard for him (since it happened at my Dad's wedding), and he'll get the guard resprayed.

Hope to hear from you soon re price not-so-dumone! :P

PrettyBlueBug - February 15th, 2006 at 07:35 AM

Thanx Karmen! Does yours look better than the pic dumone posted? And is it definitely for an L Bug rear RHS?

I'm waiting to hear back from dumone, but will let you know either way if I'm getting his or not. :)
