WTB - 15x6 inch wide 5 rims, F Baja bumper.
5lam - May 4th, 2006 at 07:16 PM

Can anyone help me out?

I'm chasing 2 stock style 15x6 inch rims to finish off my Baja. I'm also after a decent (not bent!) front tube bumper, also for a Baja.

I'm on the Gold Coast, Queensland, and I'm willing to travel within a 100 Km radius to pick them up. I've had no luck finding anything down this way!

Thanx!

Ask bajachris88,
he has a set of wide 5 but he mightn't part with them.

Give Dave a ring at Gold Coast Vee Dub as i think he may have a spare set he will sell

I've got a pair of 15X7 wide fives with practically brand new tyres on em if you're interested.... u2u for details

bajachris88 - May 5th, 2006 at 07:20 PM

I got six 5 stud wheels that are each wider than stock.

no idea on dimensions, but some are fairly massive. was off a baja i pulled apart.
willing to sell em to ya, or swap for stuff, the tred on 4 of them is dead but has tubes, and valves in there, the other 2 are BIIGGG offroad tyres, with good tred. 4 by tyres :D

I got no use for em as my baja is 4 stud.

Haven't posted enuff replies to u2u yet!
Dave is the one who has helped me out with most of my parts so far, but no luck with rims.

I could be interested in your rims Bajachris. As long as they are 15 inch rims, I'm not worried too much about the width for the front. Any chance of some pics?

bajachris88 - May 6th, 2006 at 08:49 PM

yeah. will take em tomorrow. they probably good do with a nice sanding and painting. But run fine without it.

5lam - May 6th, 2006 at 08:58 PM

That's cool. Thanx
The rest of my car gettin paint anyways! Let me know what parts you are chasing. I don't have an awful lot of stuff left now, but I will sort thru what I have

heres my 5 stud tyre collection. GOt a pair of those giant ones too on the end, just am showing 1 of em. not the lightest things. Lol. not sure if i wanna sell em though (the massive ones). but the others are all good too. the rubber is excellent on the giants.

NOTE: the ones in ur size range are the 2nd and 3rd from the right (the 1st from the right is hte stock 4 stud on my baja).

was about 15 inches across the rims diameter, width, was hard to get, but from what i was measureing, was about 7 and a half or 7 ish. (measureed the width of the rim from trying to line it up on the inside using lumps of wood and stuff).

the 2nd and 3rd from the right were the 2 fronts on my 67 baja i had before. they have different tred, but assume its the same rim. would be odd for the baja to have 2 different wheel diameters. :S

the 4th and 5th from the right are the 2 rears i had on my 67 baja. they are bigger again. same tred. the tread on these tyres aren't too good. the rears are Ok, the fronts need new rubber (cracked BADLY on the sides, let along being different treads)

another PIC:
(one of the rear tyres of fatter bigger proportions)

5lam - May 7th, 2006 at 06:13 PM

Awesome, the 2 front ones look perfect! :thumb

Unfortunately, I don't have any of the parts you are chasing, but I've got your list and I'll ask my mate.

I'm posting what parts I do have up soon.

Other than that, how much would you take, cash?

bajachris88 - May 7th, 2006 at 06:18 PM

No I don't, but I'll add that to the list, and find out for ya. :D

oval TOFU - May 8th, 2006 at 12:47 AM

Wanna still consider mine? They're 225/60/15 Hankook K's with 95+% tread left on them. Rims are in very good condition, they'll need a blast and repaint though as it's got my colour on em...

bajachris88 - May 8th, 2006 at 10:28 AM

when it comes to cash, seeing those rims are straight and fairly solid, got the tubes and valves and all, hows $25 a wheel? If its too much, have no worries negociating or bardering.

5lam - May 14th, 2006 at 08:50 PM

*BUMP*

I have a front Baja bumper now....
Still chasing 2 15x6 wide 5 rims.....

bajachris88 - May 14th, 2006 at 09:08 PM

Hey dave, if ur not happy with the wheels, i'm willing to give ya back the $50. It was my mistake that they fronts were measured wrong. The money is sitting in a can at the moment, if ur not happy.
