sea gull Neil
Perth wa

Item : Subaru ea 71 ( jap spec carb motor ) all but the same as ea81

This motor is out of a 1990 > subaru wagon

motor from a crash test car in Japan , has been in storage for some time & well looked after .

I no longer have a need for this , but if some one has a old school ea81 this would be like a dream come true as the motor has done very little

$500.00

unusual find, my bus ran one of these when i bought it. unfortunately you cannot use an ea81 adaptor as the bti where the flywheel bolts on is a different diameter to the larger and later engine.

karmen - July 3rd, 2006 at 09:47 PM

hope that helps u sell it c-gull

You had an adapter plate on a gear box , now if you had the fly wheel that would complte the package & you would ( may ) sell the dam thing .

and the gearbox

NOW u made me say it

and it's still all one piece

and its available
and in Sunshine Coast
yepp i said it now lmdo.

seagull - July 9th, 2006 at 12:05 AM

50kw or 67 hp & 5,200rpm
motor was made after the EA81
Ea 71 was the best ( ea ) sreies made heaps better head , hyd lifters & a good carbi

$450.00 gets you a very very clean motor with the factory oil & smell

Hi Guys..

I'm the guy with the Kit Car with the EA71 engine.
If I was planning on keeping the EA71 engine in this car I would grab this motor. But the plan is at the moment to go to a Turbo unit.

Thanks for posting this on my post & I hope you find a home for this engine.

Just for my own interest...
Is it a Twin Carb model?

Cheers
Darren..
