WTB: **1200 motor complete**

hey all
a mate of mine is chasin a 1200 motor complete and running (if poss).. inc tinware
and hes after a specific numbered motor with the heater boxes and hot flaps if poss..
i told him he was askin a bit much ..
but hey if ya dont ask you never know..

the 1200 engine number should be from:

D 3912904 - D 3924023

so if you have something thats fits the bill U2U me or email..

I just scored some 1200 motors, one re-conditioned apparently. The other two I have no history on - they kinda came with the car as part of the deal.

I'll check them in the morning.

I am tracking down a mechanic selling all his VW stuff, including a reco 1200, so the story goes...
will check the numbers.

sorry mine was S8493369 motor has good compression and runs can ber test driven was serviced and tuned a month ago

just looked at the engine in the bus (want something bigger) and is a 2223407. runs fine. according to thesamba, about '58.

Nope... my lead had a reco 1200 but wrong vintage:
5351078. He had a lot of old cases there that he was going to look through for me, though.

engines begining with 'D' were late model 1200s (post 1970) and werent fitted to aussie cars, which by then were 1300/1600cc.
