thanks typeone, bit expensive for me, since I'm officially a cheapskate. cheers!

Hey Type_one,
got the other bits for it? or at least what they should look like?
Cheers
Penguin

type_one - October 9th, 2006 at 08:42 PM

As far as I know all the bits are there. I have seen others where there is a bar that goes down onto the door near the bottom of the door glass. This one appears to have no visible spot for a bar. It appears to hold on by the clamps only. No other visible holes for bars etc.

I have never fited it as i don't have a beetle to clamp it too.

All the flaps work and the mechanism inside spins freely.

Anyone is free to come see it or try it on their car first.

?????

type_one - October 10th, 2006 at 09:19 PM

For those that have asked it is 30cm from the opening part in the window to the futhurest point outside the window, the part in the window is 33cm and the actual tumbler part for the water is 19cm.

It is in overall great condition and the end of the water section comes off allowing access inside.

On top of that if you wanted to pull it apart completely it is pop riveted together so easy to put back together.

RHD or LHD?

empi - October 11th, 2006 at 12:22 PM

Most of them are LHD ones , so if u use one here in OZ the driver gets a super chilled ear!! There is a company that is still making them.

you can get the repro decals on ebay for 15 bucks a pair, probably what you have Empi, not NOS..

empi - October 11th, 2006 at 10:44 PM

Well done Steevo,

I have the repro as well as Nos ones.

Nos are water decals and repro are stickers , not that it makes much of a diffrence.
