I have had this for years. Never on a car. I bought it for a beetle, but maybe it will fit a type 3?

Can anybody tell by the pics?

given that it is sitting on the roof without suction cups indicated that the roof would have to be flatter for the cups to suck properly. if the 4 legs were lengthened to raise the rack off the roof then it would work on a beetle no problems.....

I've seen one of those on a type 3. Really nice rack anyway.
