WTB - parts for an S bug
Yogie - January 11th, 2007 at 05:44 PM

Hi Everyone,
I am looking for some parts for a 72 S Bug.

I need the wiring going from the steering column to the switches (it needs to be the 4 spoke steering wheel type of wiring).

Also looking for the little box (off white colour) in the engine bay that they used to plug a computer in to check the system and lastly, an air cleaner for the 72 model. It has only 1 breather coming out of the drivers side of it.

I am in Brisbane and can pick it up anywhere here, will pay for freight from elsewhere as well as the cost of the parts.

Thanks

Yogie

I have the connectors in mine. It is the cover that has broken off and is taped on. If you have one of the plastics parts in good nick, let me know hopw much you want for it.

Thanks

ah ok all the flap door things are broken off on mine too sorry

they sun coming in thro the decklid vents is pretty harsh on them after 30+years

only thing worth trying is one out of a bay kombi
they are well protected behind the doggy door and dont get any sun
they are the same plug

Hi

The diagnosis plug is the same as on a bay window Kombi, they may be less weather affected as they are in the engine bay.

Personally I would remove the wiring and chuck the plug in the bin.
