Hi Fellas
Looking for a pair of braces to tie the beam and the front of the pan together to stop frame head flex.
It is for an early sixties bug, dont care about the location will pay freight from anywhere.
Have drawn up some to make, but if anyone has some they want to sell it would save me another job.
Frame head has a repairable crack, but since the car will have a fair horsepower motor, and a lowered and narrowed beam, thought the extra strength
would be worth it.
Hope someone can help.
My mobile if you want to do by phone is 0418 493788
Thanks, Ed
will check
some of these......
sorry not for sale but some pics here that may help you out....

Anybody???????????????

You can make reasonably easily using steering box clamps (4x) and some flat and square section steel. I will be doing that soon to help tie my front end on - it seems to squirm a bit with hot tyres and big brakes!
The ones pictured before, they are made from the clamps that mount the beam to the pan head.
If you look carefully you will notice the square ends that the body clamps too above the beam.
You could try locate some from a country buggy but they only clamp to the bottom beam.
Thanks fellas. Yeh Nathan, i see that, didnt pick it before though.
Thanks Bushed!!
That seems a good method aswell vwcool.
I will use some of these ideas if nothing eventuates. I am doing a body off resto and found my frame head with some cracks, drilled and welded up, but
dont want them coming back.
Thanks again all
