1916cc type 3/1 engine*SOLD*
66deluxe - February 28th, 2007 at 11:26 AM

Hi all, i have for sale a 1916 longblock type 3/1 engine, it was first built over a year ago and used in my notchback automatic for around 4 hours run time, then i started to do panel repairs and painting on the notch, so the engine sat idle for months with a weekly run for about 20 mins. I have since removed the engine and rebuilt it as i wanted to inspect the parts and see how the first build went, and to drill and tap oil galleries for full flow as i was going to do an upright conversion and put it in my bug. So the engine contains the following parts and machine work:

Reground stock 69mm crank 4 dowel
Reco stock rods with new small end bushings matched to pins
Mahle 94mm "A" pistons and cylinders
Engle 100 cam and lifters
Scat swivel ball adjusters, stock rockers and shafts
New Mahle main, rod and cam bearings
Elring gasket kit
Heads are 040 stock valve size , crack free and opened to 94 with a 50cc chamber
Crankcase is a type 3 case T series case, align bored 0.020", cylinder registers are opened for 94mm cylinders, case savers installed with Scat 8mm head studs.

I am asking $1100, parts and machine work cost more than price, i am selling as i want to continue with my type 4 build so please contact me via U2U, i am in North Brisbane, cheers Damo.

Photo's up soon

bushed, was after something complete and running ( and I do trust Damo knows how to screw a motor together ).
I don't mind running up to Damo's side of town, always worth a look too see how things are going. Maybe you should start a thread yourself with all the stuff you have for sale, you seem to always have something to offload. :tu:
