What's happening to your project bug? I'm keen but it will take a couple of weeks to organise this sort of cash, I hope everyone else is in the same boat....anyone after a 71 super with a 1641 (kadrons, 009, chrome kit) $2000 and it's yours. Oh or an 091 + 228mm flywheel $450

Keep in mind this box needs to be assembled .The photo above is when it came home after it was purchased .

I called for a quote Mal after I got off the phone from you
my man quoted me to assemble $880.00 + the bearing kit $1400.00 .Then I called my mate regarding the crown wheel , that was $220.00 + lapping of the crown wheel a carton of beer to the finisher .

so we have
$2000.00
$1400.00
$220.00 + $40.00 for the beer
$180.00 freight to Perth

( + $880.00 this may be off set by sexual favours )

= $3840.00
+ the $880.00

Thats were I stand , price on bearing kit was off the top of his head based on past boxes that had come in for ( I now have this apart what do you want to do , put it back to gether with old bearings that may well fail in ?????? )

You didn't add in the 880 to reassemble, so you would be looking at $4720

Does anyone else know if this is a reasonable estimate of what it would cost, $2000 is cheap, but $4500 is a different story, that would get me a pretty tough kombi box. I'm assuming this isn't an LSD model?

Its good to know the bearing kits are the same $ in a different state some times the price can halve or double.

you $3400+ for a second hand box then add bearing kit and assembily price not much change from 5K.
