Hey All
Anyone in Melbourne got a late type 3 muffler for RWC. I pulled mine off hoping to weld it up but it's shot.

Cheers Paul

Hi

I was over at Vintage Vee Dub supplies and I saw a really cool set of pipes that adapt a 1700 - 2000 Kombi exhaust to the type 3, apparently Type 3 mufflers are hard to get.

>If they are I'd be interested - anyone know if there is a difference?<

Early ones have the top pipes (rear cylinders) as one unit into muffler. Later ones have the top pipes as two units joined with a large gland nut. Also tailpipe is larger diameter on later ones. Hope that helps.
