A mate recently went over the wall and escaped the world of VW's - yep I had heard of people doing it but I had never actually seen it done before.

Anyhows about a year ago he ran a bearing in his 2lt Kombi and we pulled the motor out and put in a temporary replacement whilst the good one was repaired. In the meantime he found other things to do and the motor sat in my shed.

The motor was really good prior to the little mishap- it was only rebuilt 3yrs ago at cost $4500 (no I dont have the receipts) hence it was worth fixing. I was with him when the motor developed the knock and it was shut down straight away and put on a towtruck before any major damage was done.

It is complete with alternator, carbies, airbox (not shown in photo)

Price $300 - May consider parting if no one wants it whole as the heads are worth that alone.
