Still on the market people - now listed on ebay
Happy to separate wheels (make an offer) and tyres (I'll keep the tyres) and can be posted Australia wide in original box's. Forgot to mention two
centre caps damaged but have ordered 4 new ones to go with the wheels.
Have decided to go with Flat 4 Sprintstars as they will bolt up no problems - well so I am told

Due to some bad advice and a little haste I have a set of brand new wide 5 radars, tyres and chrome bolts for sale. It is not worth returning them to
the supplier as I have fitted tyres, bought wheel bolts and can't be bothered with the hassle.
These wheels have never been fitted and the tyres have never been used, still got the stickers on them. The wheels are 5x15 inch and the tyres are
195/60 Marshalls (silicon tyres made by Kumho).
$1250 firm and pick up only. Will consider trade for other wheels to fit my wide 5 bay window bus. The wheels will be available from the 17th August
as I am going to Byron for a holiday. I'll put them on the DSK site also, after the 17th they go on the dreaded ebay.
PM me any questions or call 04195566322

what was the bad advice?
nick
so they wont fit on a 68 bay?
That they would fit a kombi - I asked twice and was told yes no problems.
The centre hole is not big enough too accommodate the hub nut etc
CPM - no they won't fit your bus
Paul
Same with ovals , but can be made to fit.

There is not much material in the rim center to machine them, but there is possibly another way around the problem.... Fit short, late bay axles and machine the drum 'nose' to suit.... In theory this should give you plenty of room....
Thanks for the advice guys - would love to fit these rims but agree with Humpty about the amount of material. Unless someone can tell me otherwise.
Humpty - unfortunately I reckon what your talking about is beyond me. My level of expertise and time is limited
And to think I thought i was just going to bolt them on - ha
George at Classic is happy to take them back if I don't sell them or find a way to fit them

could you not use a spacer to push them out a bit from the hub nut ?

might help you out.
Hey Chris.... Yes, BRMS will bolt straight up, but you will have an issue with the standard centre cap on the rear axle..... There are longer centre
caps in production (25mm longer?).... Not sure where or who, but they are out there.... The single biggest issue with the RADAR reps (not to be
confused with the RANDAR reps) is the centre hub of the rim was designed to fit a standard early 60's bug front drum dust cap.... If you look closely
on HOODWINK's car (with my old rims on it) you will see the dust cap is very close to the centre hub of the rim.... It just wont fit a bus' rear
proboscis!
As for Randee's rims (RANDAR).... Dunno.... Never seen a set on a standard bus brake drum....
sorry guys ive got first dibs on the wheels i recon that they will cool on the volksrod.

Guys will these fit a 65 type 3?. Have a prospective buyer but needs some assurance that they will fit
Paul
ok.. my 2cents..
i have a set of genuine radars on my 54.. with T3 rear drums and 64 front drums; and i had it trim down the dust caps with the grinder so they fitted
further into the drums as to let the shiney cap fit nicely over the dust cap when the wheel is fitted up..
you only find these things out when ya start boltin all the stuff together..
as you can see in the above pic with the dust cap visible (front left hand wheet with speedo cable thingy) it is mighty close to where the trim cap is
to sit into the center..
a bit of rootin around and a cupla beers it finally fitted up for me..
good luck yeah
