Not for me but a buddy of mine who has a 66 bug.
Recently ugraded to a 1916 (thanks craig) and now has terrible axle hopping even in corners under power.

How are his shocks - is it swinger or converted to IRS?

He might want to look at bracing the ends of the chassis horns to the body - it's more difficult/more work but helps a lot...

If you want a tramp bar go to the hardware store and buy some 1 inch sqaure tube, thats all they are.

But if you want a properly engineered solution you need a Kafer Cup bar like these.
