[WTB - WA] Oval Metal
HOODWINK - November 1st, 2007 at 11:41 AM

Hi guys,

I am looking for a few bits of metal to repair some rust in my oval, at first glance I think I need.

driver side B-pillar lower 20cm and heater channel
bottom 30cm of a W-decklid (with the internal bits)
decklid attachment points (on the body under engine vents)

does anyone know of a wreck in WA I can cut up, or can anyone in the east help?

Might actually have some of that stuff mate.... But one question.... How much of the decklid you actually need?.... Is rusted through the "W" or is it just rusted around the seam?... Also, is the internal panel still there or is it stuffed?... The "B" pillar section is available new.... You can get it with three bolt or four bolt, with internal mounting plates or without.... The best ones are made by a guy in the UK.... Can't remember the blokes name off the top of my scone, but Fonz may know....

awesome, does the guy in the uk make more than b-pillar repair sections? spose I should email fonz... I only need the seam section yes, and the internal support is pretty cactus.

cool, good news!

I only have one pair of those lens mate.... Rocking horse poo comes to mind.... I don't think I have another, but will ask around... And the 'script' BOSCH lens' should be legal too as they are Oz import spec... In that era, they used the same lens worldwide....
Good to see you found the Hookys Panel guy...(and sorry for the "B" bit of my last reply... I meant "A"!!) Thats the bloke I was thinking of... From what I have heard, he does the best stuff out there.... As for "B" pillar bits.... You might need to cut up a car...:sniffle:... I dunno if late 50's, early 60's pillars are the same... Might have to check...

And lastly.... The POS fuel pump in the 60's left me broken today on Leach Hwy!!!!.... &%$&%$#!!!... I must throw that FUCKET out!!!
