Cheers,

Hey Anthony
Just for the learner dubbers out there.
Will these fit under standar guards? I know you tend to struggle with 6.5's in a supper bug so with the offset of the wheel will these clear the guards and the shocks?

What has to be done to mount these wheels. I know the car you intended to put them on was a super bug with 4 stud. I'm guessing these being genuine porsche they are the porsche 5 stud?

Just good to explain what has to happen for any newbi's to the VW scene looking at your wheels.:tu:

these will fit a super or standars with some work

First thing is you will need 130 pcd 5 bolt drums and rotors. These are available from several places but i got mine from V Force. They are quite cheap now. You can re-drill (for off road / show use only) but new blank drums are not much more.

If you own a super you will need struts as well

I am running "similar" wheels (16" boxster 6" x 50ET and 7" x 40ET) and they fit with lots of spare space under stock guards under a standard 75L bug.

Dieter Holzl has these wheels under stock guards on a 71 super

Snotty is running 8" versions of these wheels

Hi

I wish these were for sale few months ago, I cant believe no one has bought them yet. I running the same size and offset (17x7 55ET) on my daily 1303. It has skinny struts on the front and wheels fit fine. On the rear I went to steel 944 traling arms and brakes to pump the wheels out 25 mm per side. This is how it looks. Free bump

cheers guys..yeah these are really cheap..no-one posted or anything for a while so i was beginning to think no-one saw the value..but thanks guys.

spread the word. i have no use for these anymore as my beetle project is gone.

and i was going to be using the vforce skinny struts and a nice big porsche pattern brake conversion..

just for some info. i believe rod penrose is selling porsche pattern brakes now.

bump again...

Anthony
