Oval Beetle External Solid Sunvisors
Calcool - January 13th, 2008 at 09:10 PM

Hi All,

I have 2 external solid sunvisors/sunhats, whatever you like ot call them.

One is the more common flat type visor that takes 2 screws into each rain gutter, I have fitted them up to my 54 and they are definately oval not later 60's as they are too short. This one still has a Lanock motors sticker on the inside. (Flat Type One mow SOLD) Ribbed one below still available

The second one has a pressed rib all the way around it.

I do not think either of them have ever been permanently fitted to a car by the looks of the mounting holes and brackets.

If $150 each is too much then make me an offer.

If you have never fitted these before you will need 2 people and a lot of patience and a steady hand if fitting to a cleanly painted vehicle, you can practice on my 54 if you want to come and take a look.

I have pics, but for some reason they will not post up here, if you want pics, PM me or call and I will send them to you, unless a moderator wants to post them up for me.

Cheers,

David

for a jig, wrap a timber lenght 3x4 in cloth after u cut angle of visor at one end then attach with clamp or gaffa tape or the bracket (centre oneif visor has one) then slide it into place...the weight of timber will hold it
chock either end of timber to get perf position.
or just tape the ends of visor to prev scratches and then tape to body with mask tape , drill screw and baby on the way ... remove tape , polish enjoy
