I can get one rebuilt for about A$4000 outright. Most want about A$2500 - A$3000 2nd hand or A$3000 rebuilt exchange only.

Dieter Holzl has one in Snotty.
"MAJOR" reworks to the rear horns / mounts.
Relocate mounts for shorter torsion bars
Moved firewall

Kim, talk to Sash, he may still have a porsche box, I cant remember if its a 915 though....
worth a look.

have spoken with sash, he has a 901. I am looking for something with a tougher 1st gear.

Also, had some great photos of the ragtop. I will send you a copy when they come out

I am selling my gear box this has a kick ass 1st gear , semi auto Porsche box > now manual converted

comes with the following ,
Stater motor Cost $400.00
New drive drive shafts $440.00
New throw out bearing hyd unit $280.00
I throw in a near new set of cvs ( done 3000ks )

$1800.00

Sounds good Kim, you need anything from the US at the moment?? Im heading back to OZ for a few weeks, with not a lot of luggage... few sets of drop spindles and other goodies, but not 2 bags @ 32kg yet.....

I am cooking up plans for engines and stuff, but I think it will be a bit longer before I spend all the money on the bits.
