2054CC NEW ENGINE
RodPenrose - April 9th, 2008 at 07:55 AM

I have just finished building an engine for my own car and am not happy with the outcome so I am selling it . It is a 74mm x 94mm engine that is built of all the best parts , magnesium case , race crank , race rods , fk 46 cam , 1.25:1 rockers , straight cut gears , ported heads 42mm x 37.5mm , deep sump , dual dellorto's with up-date kit , ceramic A1 sidewinder with polished stainless magnaflow , stage 1 kennedy , dual friction disc , chrome tin kit , int. regulated alt , serpentine belt kit and all of the other good stuff . This engine has done 80 km's and is extremely noisey to drive . The induction noise and exaught noise are way too much for a good daily driver . This engine is still installed in my 76 bug and was built for the bug-in lap dash in which I did not participate in . It has a 6800 rev limiter installed and will hit it easily . The comp ratio is 9.7:1 and seems to run on 98 octain with ease . The components alone totaled $ 6800 + the exaught + the carbs + the tinware and charging system + assembly , I would like to get around $ 7000 for a complete turn key deal , ROD , 02-42729920 .
