Is the front beam narrowed? Looks like the torsion leaves still need cutting. If its been narrowed by how much? What condition is the floor pan in? Does it have any rust in it at all? Has a clutch cable been fitted to the tunnel?

Thanks

Steve

Beam is narrow 4inches I think, yeah the torsion leaves have not been cut yet, if narrowed is not your thing, I have a stock beam as well. The pan itself is in great nick, no rust.
By the looks of it, was originally a manual swingaxle, converted to IRS, so the clutch tube is there.

If only it was in Sydney

Its always the way mate, but hopefully someone in Melb is in need of a good pan.

Steve, I got a quote of $300 to get this delivered door to door in Sydney. I was thinking this is easier than narrowing my front beam, and fixing up the floorpans in my 61 Cabrio beetle on a 68 IRS pan, but my pan is registered as a convertible, and I'm sure it will be harder to convert this pan over to a convertible with the RTA without getting an engineers certificate.

Let me know if you want the shipping contact.

Cheers

Steve

Anyone interested?

Dunks0r - November 5th, 2008 at 01:21 PM

What year is the pan?

Am i to assume this is a early IRS? Eg. fit on a pre 68 body?

yeah this will be a 1968-to-1970 pan and it will fit perfect under any early body with a simple slice/weld of the body mounts inside the rear wheelhouses

brendo_83 - November 12th, 2008 at 01:36 PM

Anyone interested, I'm negotiable on price, I'm moving in a months time and I need to get rid of this ASAP

brendo_83 - November 17th, 2008 at 06:46 PM

$500 for everything including both narrowed and stock beam.

brendo_83 - November 18th, 2008 at 06:45 PM

The narrowed beam including suspension/steering is gone the rest is still for sale.
