I know the 40hp and the 36hp where a bit different is it possible to fit this one to a 36hp?

I have a 40hp Judson on my 36hp engine, the 36hp blower has its manifold port in the centre of blower body whilst the 40hp blower is off centre which means you can't get the oringinal air filter to fit under engine lid, i have a modified 1302 air intake with a pod filter on the end of it, works fine, just got to keep a eye on the pod filter a bit.
