[FS - QLD] 4 of 15" Porsche Fuchs wheels, 6" front 7" rear with tyres - SOLD
Sides - September 25th, 2008 at 08:53 PM

Seller Dave Sidery
Location Brisbane (Morningside or Springwood - take your pick)
Item Set of polished Fuchs Porsche wheels, 2 of 15x6 & 2 of 15x7 with Kumho V70A street-legal race tyres.

Rims
Fronts are 15x6 ET36 genuine early Fuchs with the rounded edge, Porsche part number 901.361.012.00. Rears are 15x7 ET23 in the later style with the squarer edge. The rears I think are repro's rather than genuine, as I can't find the Porsche part number on them. All four are 5x130 PCD stud pattern obviously.

This size and offset is EXACTLY what you want for a beetle, and I think look awesome on a lowered bug... especially if it's dark coloured. Check out some of Corey's shots of Jezebel at http://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=69535 to see what I mean.

Condition of all four rims is good, but not perfect - a few little scratches here and there, but nothing that wouldn't polish out. I'd intended to polish them up like mirrors, but somehow never got round to it.

Tyres
Kumho Ecsta V70A street-legal race tyres, medium compound. Fronts are 185/55/15, and rears are 205/50/15. The tyres were purchased for the AHC Nov last year and have had very little use so far - I'd say at least 60% tread left on them (see pic for an idea). They're always stored inside too, so no sun-hardening or anything like that going on.

These are the rims I've run on Jezebel up until now, but the brake system changes I'm making mean the offset no longer suits. So, as much as I love the rims it doesn't make any sense for me to keep them.

Price $1800

Yeah, cheers Daimo - I reckon it's a fair price too.

I'm not really in a hurry - guess if there's no interest I'll just hang onto 'em a bit longer.

yep, ev's soughted the front discs out so now to do the rear then on they go,cant w8.oh and raise the car a lil aswel.

humpty - October 13th, 2008 at 08:37 PM

You know you can get that edge of the rim machined to look a little more like the fronts Chris?
And are you gonna get the drums machined or go for new ones with the correct PCD?

cnfabo - October 13th, 2008 at 11:10 PM

new ones, type 3 drum or possibly go discs. what do suggest>

humpty - October 14th, 2008 at 01:57 AM

New drums will be the simplest and cheapest, TIII drums will provide better brakes, but the bits are harder to source (I have most of them though) but discs will be best... Since you want to race me :spin: in Autokanas and such I'd prolly suggest discs... Something like I have on the back of my TIII with 130PCD will be cheapest and very effective, or you could look at anyone of the aftermarket options... There are a few about.... Craig's brother is making a nice kit and the price is pretty good value.
