Hey caffinepusherman if you bite Westie to make you a set I will have a set to, maybe its worth his while to make a few sets rather than just one off

Ok, it looks like there's a few of ya out there that have tasted T4 power in a beetle, will have a chat to Brad next week.
We can discuss a couple of versions of headers:

A1 Merged from Tiger

Benito, personally i would like one in A1 style with stub pipes to clear the push rod tubes, then the headers connected to them.

Damo.

Craig Torrens - October 11th, 2008 at 11:23 PM

I have already offered a car for Brad to use as a "jig".........................this has been covered in another thread.......and yes i need one as well !

I like the idea of a stepped header but science just doesnt seem to back it up anyone got some realtime comparisons on both setups?

fish26 - October 12th, 2008 at 10:57 PM

The BAS style stepped header from V-Force actually works, they use the same concept in some of the older F1 cars as well as Harley Race Engines.
Although I was not aware that Richard had the jig set up for group buy, it would make sense to have the system made up with stubs to suit both head styles while still utilising the same headers.
I am personally a fan of the A1 merged header with slip joints and Fat Boy, allowing for growing engines and that unmistakable Cal Look rear end, Richard's system could allow itself for use in an experimental 2L Turbo motor running old school Rajay/Weber side draught pull through.....good for 280hp+:D
