57 Cal look - November 11th, 2008 at 02:46 PM

Hi Guy & Girls,

I need for my 58 beetle, so i can get it back on the road:

Bosh headlight : bosh headlight rim / Bosh glass

Needs to fit 6V early beetle, so the clip that the wires poke through, not the ones that need the clip attachements.

If anybody can help.. i need to hear from you.

I hope the pics help.

if it makes it simplier, the guts from my old light are ok, so i can get by with just a headlight rim & glass, but i doo need the 2 long screws that attach from the rim to the guts of the light.

so what ever anybody can help with. just let me know a price and postage to 5083 South Australia and i will get dollars sortted right away.

again thank you.

cheers, FINN

he had a P platers lic, he had p plates on the car, his lic was cancelled, his rego had expired and he never was insured ...... so thats how

i got the jackpot of loosers, to hit me.

anyway, thats in the past, the universe will take care of him, i am sure, as for now .... its all about getting her back on the road.

I do have the snowflakes & the semephores, but i gotta go through "regeancy" the dreded south australian inspection station. they dont like old cars, so the 50/50 are there for better turning display. and as for the head lights ... well that just whats always been on the car.

mat54 - November 12th, 2008 at 06:11 PM

correct me if i am wrong but i think
that your glass is not the right one for the age of the
car the inside seem good but the lens should be a fluted one like this and optional vw emblem in the top section

ps i swap ya for the flying hood ornament

mat54, you may well be right... and i dont doubt that you are.

i would be happy to get a pair of the correct glasses / lights ... but i am just trying to work with what i have got and get it back on the road.

then if somebody wants to be really nice to me and sell me a pair of the right lights, i will be chuffed.

mat54 - November 12th, 2008 at 08:35 PM

hmm sounds like i will be waiting for my flying hood ornament a little longer then....:fakesniff:

anyways i also have later style glass and rim
but it sounds like you have plenty option near you
otherwise if you get stuck
shoot us a pm

cheers
