Lads,
I'm after a pair of complete indicator assemblies themselves to suit an L-Bug front bumpe as pictured below:
Even some clear lenses with orange bulbs would be ideal if you can buy that sort of thing online from UK/US etc?
I have trawled the cyberspace to no avail so any help would be MOST appreciated!
Cheers,
Dino.
VERY hard to find original
Here is something though
Click on the PDF and you will see you can buy complete fittings

I have a nice set of Mk1 Golf inserts in amber (also the bulbs/&fitttings) could be close although they are more flat.
Perspex can be bent by most tech teachers and coloured or clear

Try givin this guy a call.
Vintage VeeDub has them
Thanks guys, you are life savers!
Looks like I will have to buy the complete orange ones from Classic VeeDub and then swap the lenses with these:

Much appreciated, I will get some pics of our rebuilt bug in the rides section as we are about to register it after 4 years off the road.
Will then need to ask how I can change the stud pattern to a Porsche PCD so I can fit some late model Boxster 17's or the like whilst using skinny
struts/coilovers for the front!
Dino.
http://www.volksconversions.com.au/ - brakes/wheels ect...
sherman doesnt carry indicators or lights.
I know, - "Will then need to ask how I can change the stud pattern to a Porsche PCD so I can fit some late model Boxster 17's or the like whilst

sherman.
im pretty sure they only were on late 75 to 76 onwards bugs and yes they are hard to find. i do know all 75 onwards standard bugs had em but the bugs themselfs are hard to find now.

ive been tracking down clear ones
ive got some amber bug ones under the house i wanted to use but only place to get clear lenses are germany or US
mk1 golf fit but the lenses are flat so they look stupid
bet I can curve them, Joel....
I Saw one of these bumpers go on ebay about a week ago and i was going to buy it but it was in adelade and there was no way for me to get it. It was a origonal and in excelent condition with all the crome good and no rust. I could'nt belive it when i saw it went for about 40 odd bucks. and they are so rare i would of thorght it would of been more than that.
i wouldnt go to the effort if they were brand new ones Bernie, I'd be to afraid of ruining them
heres some crystal look altezza style flat mk1 golf ones in a bug bumper
its not a good angle for showing how they dont follow the curve and have abit of a gap around them
but then maybe im just to picky
Mmmmm, nice rear offset
hope the offset is on both sides Simon lol

fill the gap by covering with some protective perpex...I did same on my Seat Cordy foggies as it took yrs to find repl. glass.
btw mine are not new Mk1 lenses
Anyone want me to try bending them. just like a piece of wood; cut in some grooves and superglue but the fitting must also be rounded!!!
Any takers? lol
