Krisco, no pm but got your email, I'll get more info soon as I can but in short $100 will get it out of my shed, came out of a good mechanical but totaly rusted car about 2 years ago, I'll get back to you with more info soon as I can (by Sunday night)

Riteo, here's the guts on the box. number on the side is AH 4347 984....above that is another number 3/ then onder that is H (I think)330110 then under that is the VW logo and what looks like a back to front J the box felt good last time I drove the car, didn't sli[p out or anything, sounded quiet but it has been sitting for a couple of years, if still interested let me know.

The AH indicates a 1600 IRS beetle trans.
probably with a 4.125 diff ratio and 0.889 or 0.883 4th gear.

Normally not swingaxle unless someone has used the IRS to make a swingaxle trans.
