WTB: Set of T3 efi Injectors
tassupervee - August 4th, 2009 at 12:12 PM

Hi all.
As the title states, Im looking for a set of injectors out of a T3 efi engine. "68-73 type 3 and type 4 1.6 and 1.7 engines, also fit the porsche 914 1.7 engines".

They are "Bosch 007's" a typical Bosch top feed (hosetail) injector and yellow in colour.

Thanks
Evan

Rusty 62,

I could be interested in the manifold if they fit an upright engine.

Do you want a specific injector size ?

tassupervee - August 11th, 2009 at 03:51 PM

Hi Gents
Bug_racer, those top fed yellow hosetail injectors (Bosch 007) are 400cc or thereabouts. You got something in mind?
Bosch 015's,024's and 036'sare all 390 odd (80%, 420 wide open) and would be just as good. Thing is, I need at least 6 of them. I already have 4 of the 007's so another set would give me some error margin.

Rusty, cool. I only want the injectors but Newt is looking for the runners.

Newt, I have a heap of 270cc Bosch hosetails here (Pulsar Turbo ET/ VL Commonwhore Turbo) if you want something good for about 130Kw atw.

Still after some men.
perhaps they have all gone to the tip...............................

I might have a set from a 1.9 water boxer engine Tass...any good?

grumble - August 15th, 2009 at 06:56 PM

Tooley Imports in Hornsby have a set of injectors as a kit for a quite reasonable price.

tassupervee - August 15th, 2009 at 07:38 PM

Grumble.
Sadly M8, Im a bit far away from Hornsby.

Dave,
I have a sneaking suspicion that 1.7 and 1.9 EFI wasserboxers might use Bosch 007's.

Are they a typical Bosch hosetail job with a yellow plastic top? The connector plug is slightly oval rather than the usual square injector plug.
Also, along the side, up on the plastic bit, there will be a Bosch part number, "007" will be the suffix.

Let me know please M8.

Regards
Evan

Looks like 031

tassupervee - August 16th, 2009 at 09:00 AM

Hi Dave
Well theyre definitely not 007's! Thats an issue in itself as i have 4 007's but I need 6................................

However, my Bosch injector list does not show that particular number.

Would there be another number on the opposite side?

Hey mate!
Got a set here...it appears that there are 2 part numbers. Bosch part number is 0 280 150 007 and VW part number is 311906031B.
I had no idea they flowed so much, but can no longer use em as I have fitted fuel rails to my efi setup.
These are LOW impedance injectors (all measure 3 ohms) but I guess u know about that :-)
Cheers! Toby :tu:

Yep, they are the blighters.

I cant work out what type Dave has as his ones have the later style iinjector plug but these ones have the older "D-Jet" style of plug.
I have a set of four but need another set to make up the six I need and have a couple as spares incase they dont flow well.

PM me M8.

Dave, thanks for looking M8 but Im a bis suspicious of using injectors with different plugs and so-on to mine.

PM sent

No worries Evan,
you are correct though there is andother number on the other side.
For reference it is:

0 280 150 206

tassupervee - August 16th, 2009 at 08:02 PM

Dave
Yep, that number makes sense now.
FYI. according to my list:
Those are a 167 cc Injector, about 33 Hp. Im almost certain they are a High Impedance type.
Very small and wouldnt be any use to me as I need around 350cc minimum.
The 007's are around 340. Only just useful.
I currently have 280's and have just about maxed them now @ only 6psi/6300rpm!

Thanks again M8

Glad to see that you can get what you need I only offered Tooley as they do carry a lot of stock and are very helpful,I deal with them on the phone and they despatch the same day. cheers Les

tassupervee - August 16th, 2009 at 09:45 PM

Thanks for the tip Les.
See, i really need to go and see what they have rather than ask on the phone. Bit far from Hobart!!
Thing is, 007's are not my 1st choice but I happen to already have a set. However I need 6 of them.
Thats why Im not going new.

Ill try these first to experiment but I prolly use a set of either 4g63t (Mitzi) 440cc or RB26dett 440cc top feed O-ring types and just make them fit. No real hassle.
They come around often enough for reasonable prices.
