A great way to finally lose that dizzy once and for all!!
I bought this around 6 months ago and ran it on my type 3 successfully using a megasquirt II ecu. I have just changed to EDIS and no longer need
these. Suitable only for an aftermarket EFI computer such as Haltech etc
The magnets on the Type 3 pulley are installed 180 degrees apart...one faces north and one faces south. The S3 actually sends 2 different signals to
the ECU per rotation of the crankshaft...one every 180 for crankshaft position and one every 360 which provides a "home" signal and allows you to
run a coil pack with wasted spark if your ECU allows it. The sensor alone is well over $150 to buy new!
Pickup or postage Australia wide
Useful info below on the Haltech s3 sensor and M&W ignitor...and the coil pack is from a hyundai and cracks out one mean spark!

any questions?
You have PM, and I guess a bump
Cheers sides
I have added a couple of pics...the first one shows the sensor, ingitor and pulley...the other stuff in the pic is not included
The setup is not unique to a type 3, although the haltech magnets (part # rem1) have been fitted by drilling and epoxying the magnets in to the type 3
fan pulley.
I suppose you could easily get 2 new magnets (roughly $6 I think) from Haltech and either modify the type 1 pulley or maybe look at the flywheel to
trigger off?
T
Forgot to say, the ignitor and sensor both have plugs (not pictured) Ta.
Looks like flywheel triggering is not an option...the magnets should be mounted in a non ferrous pulley...hence it was perfect for the type 3
application...click below for the installation guide from Haltech.

the type 3 fan is rubber mounted so your timing would have been a little shakey at best
Hey Toby... did you get my second PM ???
The fan is rubber mounted, but isn't the pulley bolted directly to the centre hub?
Hi Sides no I didn't get your 2nd PM please resend.
Guys, what is the relevance of this "rubber mounted" issue? The pulley bolt mounts directly to the crank.
Okie dokie - PM resent.
I've never looked closely at a Type 3 fan/pulley set up, so its got me stuffed if there's an issue there or not !!!
Got it this time....and replied cheers dude.
