WTB beetle stuff in tassie
Mike - December 17th, 2009 at 10:01 PM

Hey everyone I keep finding parts I want and need for my beetle and instead of posting lots of wanted adds I thought I should start a "wanted list"
I'd prefer parts located in Tassie where possible.
so far I need (to suit a 62 beetle)
front and rear bumpers
left and right rear guards
drivers side front guard
drivers door
all the chrome bits (badge, door handles, indicator housings etc.)

this is all i can think of so far

Cheers
Mike

Finding all those parts close by...
would be very good luck Mike,,, lol

I collected all My parts over 8 years ...

and from all over....

things like doors and guards are expensive to freight....

keep an eye on ebay too...

there are a few people on here from Tasmania so maybe they can help You find bits....

cheers

LEE

Couple of ideas, have you joined the Tas VW Club?

http://www.vwtas.org/

Would be a good place to make local contacts and find people who can help you with parts.

Lookup forum Tas member ragtop - Ed, he might be able to help you as well.

I Don't know if Nino at Bocchino Motors might be able to help you as well, local VW mechanic

I have thought about joining the club but to me it sort of feels weird joining a car club without a going car.

It's funny that you mention Bocchinos because I'm of the belief that if you live in sourthern tas you don't own a real vw unless it has a Bocchinos or Andrew Robinson sticker

cheers

Where in Tassie are you - I have some parts in the Colebrook area that might be suitable.
