The master cylinder in my 69 panel is leaking, does anyone sell kits??? i priced new master cylinders but they seem to be a little exspensive,or has anyone got one thats still good,i think later bays are different??? cheers shane.
Ok i have removed the master cylinder and i think its not worth kitting, are there any other models i can use the master cylinder of or are they 68-69 only???
You have 2 options, buy a new master cylinder or send yours to be resleeved and kitted by a brake specialist.Nothing is expensive until you really need to stop and you have bad brakes.
I have been looking at new ones, the price difference between suppliers is got me thinking how many different styles there are??? for example one supplier in QLD has them at $219 and one in sydney at $85.00 maybe theres 2 types im not sure, but theres a big difference in price???
Remember 68-69 are 4 wheel drums with no booster later ones are disc brake fronts and drum rears with a power booster. As for cost get it stainless sleeved and a kit put thru and it will outlast you. Don't cut corners with brakes cemeteries full of people who cut corners.
I have found new kits but the plastic reservoir needs replacing, the only ones i can find on the net are for later bays,so i might have to look for a used one??? the kombi will only be club rego so it wont get driven much but i still want good brakescheers shane.
