Hi, it's 12volt. thanks
at first i wanted to get an original radio but found it to hard to locate one and cheap.so just put mine in the glove box.
i have original 60's and 70's radio black pannels new found in moth eaten boxes never used.
there easy to comeby at swaps try making one out of wood (3ply)
Hi Kylie,
Firstly, a Radio that works on AM only... ??
what model beetle do You have ?
I fitted a New JVC cd player to My beetle without too much trouble... just had to file the opening a bit..
had a cassette player/radio in it before..
You could of course get an old radio that fits in the hole but doesn't work.... if its only for looks?
but a nice new Radio/CD player can be fitted easily Kylie...
If You look around on ebay or swap meets You may find a late 70's early 80's radio/tape player fairly easily...
and for not much money...
I have seen old restored car radios at swap meets for sale...
not cheap.....
cheers
