What Do I Have?

Well I'm glad you asked.

This is a 36mm rear axle nut removal tool

This tool is used to remove the stubborn 36mm axle nut that holds the rear brake drums on the old Dak Dak

After you remove your wheel and the axle nut split pin you place this tool on the axle nut and then with a few heavy wacks with a hammer the nut will come off (easy as).

Also has a ½’’ square drive hole for use with a bar ½’’ square drive bar.

Every VW home mechanic should have one.

Just contact me with your post code and I can work out the postage cost

Will come in a package that is
25cm long
12 cm wide
2 cm high
And be 1500g

Lindsay, It turned up during the week - and the %$#%$ axle nut came off with a bit of heat and a few whacks with an 8lb sledge hammer.
Even the you beaut CIP tool couldn't budge it (it got the RHS off, but the LHS wasn't moving.)

Thanks,
Simon

hey lindsay,

i was thinking today that you seem to be making specialty tools, one that would be really handy would be the one to get the headlight switches out of the dash etc, like the two pronged ones, i have one but it actually came from a fondu set.

Sorry for hi jacking

Yes, I have a loose wiper switch..

have to pull everything behind the dash out to hold the switch...

took Me ages to get the nut threaded..
after it came off....

x2
Last time I used a leatherman opened up enough to get the tip of the pliers in, but I was nervous I was going to slip and gouge the dash.

Yes.
I have heaps of pliers of all sorts...

but am scared of wrecking the dash.... lol

Maybe the fondue forks are the go... lol

originally thought of using a large screwdriver with a wide blade and grinding it to fit....
