someone has to have one lying around??

sounds like you havent got the standard 71 headlights in it

the only plastic part in the stock ones is the grey ring around the outside that holds the glass lense seal

probably got a sealed or semi sealed conversion
got any pics of them?

of course it isn't the normal one.. haha... dont have pictures but it seems to match the guard.... there is a gold coloured ring which is screwed to flanges on the guard. the light assy mounts to this ring by means of positioning screws at 9 and 3 oclock a spring at 6 oclock and said white clip at 12 oclock.... sorry i cant be more helpful.

i have been to micks and he doesnt have them.. and it would be quite difficult to fab aswell...

ok those are late model semi sealeds as fitted to 75 on bug, kombi and golf but look like aftermarket ones
probably industria brazilia

i'd be surprised if you could get the mount new so may have to scrounge around for some old dead ones

i thought that might be the case when mick didnt have them... the silly thing is i cut the clip up and used it unknowingly about a month ago as a switch support inside a grinder... regretting it now. haha
