New Bosch Vacuum Advance Distributor
Mellow Yellow 74 - September 1st, 2010 at 09:21 AM

I have ordered a new Bosch vacuum advance distributor from overseas this week. It was advertised as being original equipment for an 1800 Kombi, however I have since found out this is not the case.

It is original equipment for a beetle and can be used in a 1600 Kombi (see http://www.oldvolkshome.com/ovhignbo.htm ). It fits an 1800 Kombi but the advance curve is different and apparently makes the 1800 Kombi engine run hot.

It is a Bosch model number 043 905 205 and comes with cap, points and rotor. I paid around $190 including postage and can return it but it will cost around $40 to return so will sell it for $150 plus postage from Dalby QLD.

See details at http://www.justkampers.com/shop/type_2_bay/type-2-bay-original-vehicle-parts/...
