jeremyluke - September 7th, 2010 at 09:22 PM

I was on here several months ago and somebody was speaking of buying new bonnets for $180 imported either brazil or mexico, i cant remember, i looked up the company and contacted them about it and they said yes they do and for that price

Now i need to purchase one i cant remember the name of the company or their website link

can any1 remember this? what is the company called or any other place i can get it from? all i remember is it was located in southern sydney (close to home) and the specialised in truck parts and imported OEM parts...

Believe you are after H & M Ferman @ Peakhurst (02) 9533 2722

But they dont do Supers

What about a fibreglass one??

Yea thats the one, what they dont do supers?? Why is that ?
i'd prefer to keep away from fiberglass, how much are they anyway?

ive always got parts for my super there.

jeremyluke - September 7th, 2010 at 10:05 PM

Yea i thought that he did have them cause when i asked him on the phone he wasnt sure which bonnet shape cause there is 2 for '71, must have been thinking super and standard, so i was gonna drive my other super up (same bonnet) to make sure he ordered in the right one, but never got around to it

Rang to order a bonnet today, denied ever saying that he could get them in and that all he has is a second hand one that he wanted to sell for $300.

So looks you were right Bizzare that you cant get new bonnets for a '71 super

guess im gonna have to repair the rust and straighten the old one, too bad $180 for a new one would have been easier haha

I don't think Brasil or Mexico VW made the 1302S Super bodies.

all flat windscreens too , so no 1303s...

lots of 1302 supers about...
even though they were made for a short period...

cheers

$300 for a second hand hood....FMD

I have a rustfree/dentfree one you could have for 1/4 that price if you weren't at the opposite end of the state

This is what pisses me off, people trying to cash in on VW parts just cos they're old, its gonna lead to more people giving up as aftermarket quality keeps going down and old german stuff keeps going up
