WTB V6 Engine Adapter Plate & Flywheel
Allan McGill - November 15th, 2010 at 07:52 AM

Hi Dubbers
I am looking for an engine adapter and flywheel to put a Holden V6 onto a '70s bus transaxle.
If you don't have an adapter, but have done it before, I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks

John Sherman conversions makes it all.

Hell yes! Buick power for the win!

Sorry I had to say that:lol: Holden series 2 buick v6's are lovely engines.

My daily drive is one :tu:

Just change the manifold gasket what you are at it as the factory one is nearly 100% guaranteed to start leaking coolant.
Lucky the gaskets always leak outwards and not into the engine:lol:

Anyone know how much they are? I'll be doing the same conversion when the time comes! There's no prices on johns website.

Thanks
Isn't John Sherman the owner of Volksconversions?
They have a kit that costs $700. After talking to my local engineering shop expert, $700 is a very reasonable price!
If I can find a second hand kit, then good, otherwise I will gladly spring for the new kit from

If I can get it all together it is going to be an exciting overpowered drive!

Too much power is barely enough!

did you know extractors on those engines can point either directions? Pacemakers would go great on them.
I also got a tune from this guy. http://myworld.ebay.com.au/nicefrog/

I also install my very own made big bore throttle body and CAI. Also match pored and polished the intake elbow(TB one)

All I know is my commy now does 0-100 in 7. Most likely less if I could shift better on that truck like T5
And..........AND :spin: I get avg 6L/100 on the highway
