FS - 40 Years of parts
dbmanx5 - February 10th, 2011 at 01:01 PM

Hi All,

Not my parts but a car wrecker in Whyalla, South Australia post code 5600 who was a huge dune buggy fanatic has 40 years of VW parts that he collected over the years. He's now 70 and want to move it all in one go, he's not interested in selling in bit by bit. So someone has to collect it.

I've attached a couple of pictures (apoloigise for quality as they are on my phone) to give you a look, I cant get anymore photos as I'm in Melbourne. .

If you are genuinely interested PM and i'll give you his phone number, he's no good on email.

Someone in SA could get a great deal.

vwsteve - February 10th, 2011 at 01:55 PM

looks like a lot of scrap metal there, he should be able to get a few hundred that way if he doesnt end up selling it

if its just a shed then i might be interested if the price is right (doubt it will be low enough though)

Ho many fan shounds can one man need?

dbmanx5 - February 10th, 2011 at 05:23 PM

Not selling the business, gold mine for him just what is in one of the sheds which is all VW. He knows what it's all worth but is open to any offers for a vw nut to come and clear it out. Could be an absoloute steal for someone if they are willing to get it.

PM me and get his phone number. Ring him to find out exactly what there and put in an offer.

beat me to it

I was going to ask if he had any shrouds??

hellbugged - February 10th, 2011 at 10:34 PM

must be a lot of beetles running around with no shrouds........OR a lot of beetles not running around

Calcool - February 13th, 2011 at 06:45 AM

I counted at least 30 shrouds and or engines, Probably means those cars are not around anymore.

I have bought job lots like this before and there is usually a few bits that people will need and the rest is dust collector boat anchor stuff, pity though! Need to match the parts with the wanters and thanks to the internet that is a lot easier now than 40 years ago.

The inlet manifolds and 36hp engine stuff might be of some interest aswell as the tools.

Will need more of an inventory list and pics to pull out the real investors though.

Cheers,

David
