wtb - porsche 5x205 pattern wheels
norbert - February 16th, 2011 at 12:00 PM

Anyone have or know where I can get a set of 5x205 standard porsche rims. I have a set of 15 x 5 mangels with 195/65 R14 tyres (almost new) which are to large for my KG.
Mangels are in reasonable condition and should polish up well.

If anyone is interested I am happy to swap and pay difference.

Try Smaller Tyres

165 on the back and 135 or 145 on the front, then you can go really low too!

norbert, Can you have another look at your sizes - it is a bit confusing:

You say that you have 15 inch diameter Wheels but 14 inch diameter Tyres available

and,

5 inch Wide Mangle - I thought that Mangles came only in 4.5" and 5.5" wide.

FYI: Standard Porsche rims were:
4.5"x15" and 3.5"x16"

Also, where are you located?

Lance.

Standard 16” porsche were 3.25" not 3.5"

Hi Oldtub,

Will double check. Pretty sure the tyres are what I stated know its confusing. Your probably right about the mangle sizes, I was told 5" but more likely to be 5.5's.

Sorry Rafik, My 16" "standards" were alloy rims from a Spyder/early Carrera - factory, untouched from new - the rim material was much thicker than steel rims and they were 3.5" at the tyre rim - I haven't had steels. My mistake.

You can also get 14" Porsche Fuchs for your 14" tyres as well, not as readily available, but when they are will actually be cheaper generally than 15"

Finally checked the tyre sizing. Was feeling dumb the other day. So the mangles are 14" and I presume they are 5.5"wide as the tyres are 195/70 R14.

Know that I can change the tyres to fit, but too much stuffing around.

Colcal, the tyre pattern is 5 x 205 and already purchased a fairly expensive disk brake conversion ($1000) with that stud pattern. Don't really want to change, hence after porsche type wheels with that pattern.

Thanks anyway, anyone out there have a set?

Norbert:blush:
