Hey Jade, the reversed diff gears only suit the 4WD subie boxes, not the 2WD ones. You can use the left and right gearbox casings but you need to use the 4WD gearset and cut down transfer case housing. FYI.
For $100 that's great value and someone should grab it!

I paid more than $100 for it but as long as someone gets some good use out of it I will be happy

Hi Thanks for all of the interest
The qeestion everybody keeps asking me is "is it definitely an 1835?"
The answer is simply as I stated I don't know much about them
So to save a dodgy sale, I will pull the engine out on Monday morning
and take a picture of the proximity of the head studs to the barells
That way everybody will see exactly what it is.
The last thing I want is to sell it under false pretences

Cheers Jade

Hi All
I didn't get the opportunity to remove the engine from the Baja on the weekend as both my dauters have been quite ill.
Unfortunitely it looks like I may have been given a bum steer when I bought the car,
as far as I can tell haveing a close look at how close the head studs are to the barrels, it looks almost identical to the 1600TP
I have in the superbug.
I was told that the studs should be obvoiusly closer to the barrels than a std engine
So unless I have two 1835's It looks as though it isn't one at all.

I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience that I may have caused for anybody looking at buying it .
but better to be a little inconvenient than to sell something that it's not.
I have learn't two lessons out of this
1. Never trust what is said when buying a car and
2. Make sure you check things out properly before advertising anything for sale.
I still intend to sell the engine as a GOOD runner when I do get the time to remove it over the next couple of weeks
so if anybody is still interested after this whole drawn out process please pm me if you want a look or to see footage of
it running
Sorry again for any inconvenience

Jade
