Try Battery World they have 6v batteries,I purchased a deep cycle one for my Ghia. Good used 6v batteries to the best of my knowledge don't exist.

I just need one to try this engine to see if its any good. All my other engines are all 12V, so dont want to buy a new one just to start this thing once.

If you modded a 12 volt battery to have a terminal in the middle between the 3rd and 4th cell, Use that as your positive terminal, and the original two as both earths, would that be the equivalent of a dual 6 volt battery setup?
