need a new engine for my girls poor old beetle turns out its cactus.


so im looking for something standard or relatively close. currently has a 1600 S/P which i was thinking about rebuilding...but then a D/P would be better if ima go spend that sorta money anyways.

what have you got?? or could you recommend? (really only need long block)

ultimately a pobjoy or penrose engine would be sweet, but not really keen to spend that much cash.
