Has anybody in the Brisbane area got a set of standard VW Beetle steel wheels, 4 bolt fitting I could beg, borrow, buy or steal? Preferably with legal tyres (but I'll take anything I can get...)
I brought my beloved Bug over from Europe with me and I've spent 4 years banging my head against the QLD road rules to get it registered here. Finally, the last hurdle is that my tyres protrude past the arches by about a squillionth of a nanometre, but it's enough to fail the roadworthy according to the inspector.
I just need them for a few days to get tested then I'll swap them off again so there won't be any mileage. If it's a loaner, usual rental terms of a slab of beer offered...
Help me Obi-Wan, you're my only hope...

I have 2 standard wheels with tyres, I dunno if the tyres are any good though.... I'm at mt gravatt.
