WTB good condition Engine and box QLD

I am after a good condition engine and manual gearbox (swinging arm) to fit in our 1970 1500 beetle as our engine is shot and box is not great. Will consider engine 1500 or over, but only standard or mildly tuned, no wild motors. Both must be in good reliable working condition, recently reconditioned would be great if not too expensive.


Would prefer Brisbane Southside.

Willtrack, am I right in assuming this is a 1200 gearbox? If so I will pass as I believe the raitos are not ideal for a 1500.

Ideally after fairly standard 1600 (or bigger) twin port, plus 1500 swinging arm manual gearbox, both recently overhauled. Cash waiting for either/both. Brisbane would be a distinct advantage.

Upto say $2000 for both, but must be good reliable condition.
