so all 4 discs are vented (front and rear) ?
are the rear calipers brembo as well ?
Is it a complete bolt on kit ?

SuperOwen - June 26th, 2011 at 08:28 PM

yes, yes and yes.
The calipers are porsche/brembo 4 pots from the 964 from memory. I'll jot down the part numbers etc when I get a chance to photograph it all.

Still for sale. $2000 ono

The pics aren't very flattering, the corrosion on the discs etc isnt as bad as it looks in the pics. Suggest anyone interested come and have a proper look.

Hi superowen, Im after 1983-85 naturally aspirated 944 parts, just checking cause you have stated 944T.If their non turbo Im interested in the front and rear hubs, 2 backing plates including the e-brakes if their still available.
Thanks

SuperOwen - August 7th, 2011 at 04:22 PM

Sorry, not seperating

SuperOwen - October 23rd, 2011 at 08:46 PM

Brakes are still here if anyone's interested, make a realistic offer!

SuperOwen - October 23rd, 2011 at 09:04 PM

The front hubs are. The rears are porsche. Mean's it takes regular beetle wheel bearings, no adaptors needed.

SuperOwen - November 16th, 2011 at 09:28 PM

Now on ebay, no reserve!

matara - November 17th, 2011 at 02:05 AM

Owen, where did you get the seals from when you rebuilt the calipers. I have some 944T brakes that need some seals.

Thanks

Steve

SuperOwen - November 17th, 2011 at 05:16 AM

They were rebuilt when I got them. Try aporschepart or bob whyms?

vwo60 - November 17th, 2011 at 07:07 AM

Is the conversion engineered and what model does it fit as there is major differences in fitting these between different models.

cam070 - November 17th, 2011 at 08:58 AM

Owen, I got the bidding off the ground for ya, but reality has bitten and I'll let the serious bidders take over. Hope you get what you are after for them. I'd love to have them on my car, but gotta save for other parts first.

SuperOwen - November 17th, 2011 at 09:22 AM

It's a collection of parts, you would have to speak to your engineer.
The rear uses the Porsche backing plates, will bolt to any type 1 IRS or swingaxle. Type 3 as well I think.
The front uses modded type 1 hubs, so uses conventional vw bearings to any type 1/3 disk brake spindle.
No garuntees on figment, I didn't build it and have not tried to fit it. Your welcome to come and look measure etc.
