hi all,

anyone know where is the best place to source a blank key for my 60 bug. prefer the original version.

Thanks

I think I have a blank with the VW cutout, but it is chrome (or silver of some sort anyway), not black.

I have never seen a black key , vw beetle door locks tumbler are easy to change for any key but have never done a ignition . But have found many old worn keys may fit the ignition . You may find (buy) a starter ignition with key , then change door locks to suit or have 2 keys for car .

Hi Jeff,

Please PM me the details and can you confirm it will fit a 60 beetle. that will be great (other wise a photo will also help)

Thanks

If you have no luck here, do a search on the Samba for Gabriel, he's the man for VW keys, brilliant service and I highly recommend him.

Hope it helps
