Hey there guys, Zac here. Just bought a slammed bug which I'm bringing back to a more original condition so i have a few things to sell
First of all, a set of Porsche cookie cutter wheels complete with tires and nuts. The tires are only 6 months old with at least 90% tread.
The wheels are 2 15x7 inch with 215 tires and 2 15x6 with 185's.
Looking for around $900 for the set
Also there is a 4 inch lowered, narrowed adjustable 1500 front beam, looking for around $500
I also have 2 adjustable spring plates for around $150 each, two 40mm delorto's with manifolds which I'm told are worth around $900, and a new flat
4 shifter for $100
~~Just a note on the Dellorto's, I've raised the asking price to $900 as I'm told that that's much closer to what they are worth - and still a
bargain! They have all the good linkages, jets, emulsion tubes etc. set up for a 1916cc or higher - which is why i removed them from my 1600
Pics finally added below!!!
Anyone interested, it's best to call or message me on my mobile, as I'm usually away from the computer. My number is 0409 995 694.
Of course all prices are negotiable (within reason) and if you are interested, I'm willing to sell the whole lot for around $2000
Thanks and happy bidding.
IS the beam complete ?
i will take the shifter

if dells are rebuilt and have a good quality linkcage , they might be worth that , were they off a standard 1600 or 1916? as you might have dramas in tuning going back to a stock carb if motor was built to suit twin carb...I'lll give you $400 for them

Any photo's of the cookie cutters?
Also can you tell me what tyres are on them, brand and sizing.
can you get a pic of the dells and manifolds please eleven75@bigpond.com thanks

Klaus, these dells are worth over 1000 in their condition.. 400 is ridiculous.

You got yourself a bargain!
I found a splitty ina barn for 500bux, is that the going price?
34 pict brand new german $600
brosol 34pict brand new 380
Malaysian copy 34 brand new 250
There dellortos sound very cheap considering.
Go speak with penrose or cvdub, they deal with the aus market.
From what I understand talking to Zac ( Nice bloke) these are off a 2232. If you need a set for the same capacity engine then these will be worth more
than $400 to you and closer to the $1000 Peter is suggesting .
However If as I do you want them for a smaller engine I would need to invest some time and money to get them right.
I made him an offer (more than Klaus) taking this into account but no go?
I think I will get a set of these below yes no linkages filters but they are remanufactures and come jetted and choked to any request so will bolt
on and be ready ( Hopefully) with no hassles and more expense.

so its hard to see how this set is worth over $1000
Mitchell
Hi everyone, i just want to clarify things here. I am not selling my dellorto's for $400, that is a joke. For starters, the kadron's i replaced them
with cost me 600, so that would leave me 200 in the red for less valuable carbies. Sure the American economy is in the toilet, everything is cheap
there. But there's also the cost of overseas shipping, and if they are no good, it's not easy to get your money back.
I've looked at prices in Australia on ebay, classic vw, cbb etc. A stock 34pict carburetor costs around 400. New twin kadron kits for 1600 engines
are around 600. Webber kits start from 600 to over 1000, depending on the sizes. All in all I think my asking price is about fair.
Yes, they are used Dellorto's - They are worn in, not worn out! They are complete with good linkages, manifolds and they are set up to go on a
performance engine 1916cc or higher. I am not in a hurry to sell them, and even if i don't, I'll keep them for the 2275cc I'm planning on building.
Please no more low-ball offers. I am open to reasonable negotiation.
THE PRICE STANDS AT $900 neg.
And again, I apologize for not having photos yet. I don't have a camera and I have to get someone else to make photo's for me.
Thanks again fellow dubbers.
Photos always help.
From what I hear they come with good quality hexbar linkages and nice solid alloy airfilter housing etc etc, Certainly worth looking at for the
correct application.
Zac if you are building a 2275 you should hold on to them. Mitchell
Hi Zac, consider this a free bump.
As the seller you are entitled to ask what you think may be a fair price for your items, but it leaves a bad taste with the buyers when you suddenly
amend the price, if that's what happened here. In the end an item is worth what the highest buyer will pay for it. There are also some conflicting
stories about what engine the 40 Dells came off, please enlighten us 1600, 1915 or the mysterious 2232 that Waltermitty mentions, not that it makes
any difference to the price because anyone buying these would be out of their mind to run them without stripping, cleaning and configuring for their
application. I have personally run 40 dells set up for a 1915 on a 1300 twin port with no problems.
Lastly, I am wondering who convinced you to replace the Dells for a twin Kadron set up.
It sounds like you are a newbie to vws and I would hate to see someone take advantage of you.
Ask plenty of questions and you will learn a lot, there are some guys on here with a wealth of information and some that are full of BS.
Good Luck with the sale, its not my place to say what I think the 40 Dells are worth to me.
Cheer's again for the pics ben
jeez never thought a lowball offer would cause so much hassle , If they had the cb update kit they might be worth the $900 ...its good to stir
