WANTED VW TYPE 3 Fresh air dash slider controls.

Hi all,

I have a 68 Notch and am looking for a set of dash Slider Controls for the Fresh Air Ventilation system along with the wires. The Slider Knobs run up/down 2 Chrome Bezels.

I have a couple of dash units from a 1970 & 1973 type 3 but am not sure if they are what you want,The 73 had the under dash fan in the box. I will have a look as I am not sure of orientation. Where are you located?

Hi Grumble, I am in Brisbane.
I think 68 - 70 are the same. Two tin like units under the dash not the electric fan style.
About ten years ago I was stupid enough to cut out the controls and stick a radio in. I'd like to now go back original.

62-67 will be the same, some of 68 and in 69 changed, take a photo of yr dash!! have most of the bits u need.

No doubt your description means this type of controls.

Yes they look exactly what I am after.

What price with shipping for the parts that you have to Brisbane?

Also does anybody have the spring / bar up for the front bonnet? I am currently using a piece of wood.

Sorry, haven't got any but the pic will save anyone who's not sure which dash you have. Must be plenty around up your way still.

o with 1500s the ones that I have are the round button type. With a little ingenuity you can fit gas struts for the bonnet lift.Cheers Les
