I found someone in America who has a good one that he is willing to trim down at no extra cost in order to save on shipping.
$900 is about what I am pay plus shipping from the US.
The question is sea or air, UPS can do it for about $350/$400 depending on the service but about a week to deliver.
If anyone is importing a bus I would happily pay them a bit to allow me to sit it inside!

I was considering purchasing the one from vwsunroofs, I really think he does have the best repro arround...
But I priced it out and with headliner and the canvas its about $4k with shipped! Also to add to this it may look a bit to new for my rat bug...
Dont get me wrong though I would love one of the ones he makes!
I have decided to go for one on the samba. The guy is going to box it up and drop it off at UPS for me.
It still isn't cheap but $1500 installed with all the gear is a lot better than $4k.
I am yet to put down a 50% deposit so if someone knows anyone whos hiding one (even if its in Tasmania) I am still keen.

Im planning on documenting the whole build, it is a rat bug so it wont get any paint.
At least a before and after shot of the roof, but I'll be posting pics of the pan and more soon...

I was so close to buying one from the states, I actually paypal'd $450 to him last night.
He then tells me he is interested in buying a Westi camper for $1000 and he wanted to refund me and I pay the guy direct. :no:
He is legit but I am not happy with having a third party considering this thing is halfway around the world...
So luckily I got my money back and before depositing the $1k...
I got onto another one down in Werribee,
