WTB- Used CV joint (new ?)
Aussie Dubbin - October 12th, 2011 at 08:03 PM

Hi all,
broke a CV joint yesterday  (the inner most cradle cracked in half)

Now i need a single CV and dont want to fork out the $90 bucks for a new one, has anyone renewed their CVs recently and have a spare laying around? i can pull it apart and regrease myself... Just looking to get it going.

Even if its just the inner most section

I live in SA Plympton Area
Cheers Aaron

Yep the part that fits onto the axle, i was stripping it down and it was stuck, so i hit the inner most part lightly with a punch (pointed but flat edged) (yes i mean lightly as i didn't want to score it) and it cracked

Anyone?

Have you tried the ElectonicBAY? I think there was a company selling new joints for about $50. Might be worth it.....but then again.....

Hi

Great News

the ones I have are worn too badly to use..
where the balls wear into the channels ...

Hitting them with a punch shouldn't have damaged them..
as they are as hard as...

I hope You used lithium based MOLY grease and Not soap or clay based grease...

cheers

LEE
